No. Size 85-86123-11 96 tests Description: The InstantOne™ ELISA is specifically engineered for accurate measurement of total and phosphorylated human p53 in cell lysates. The InstantOne™ ELISA kit allows for fast analysis of samples in approximately one hour. All reagents used in a traditional sandwich ELISA are added in solution to a plate followed by a wash step and detection with the TMB colorimetric substrate. p53 is a tumor suppressor that is regulated by transcriptional, post-transcriptional, and post-translational mechanisms in response to stress. Studies demonstrate that p53 is critical for the prevention of tumorigenesis and may potentially be involved in at least half of all known cancers. p53 functions as a transcription factor to regulate genes involved in apoptosis, cell cycle, senescence, metabolism, angiogenesis, immunity, differentiation, and migration. Moreover, p53 is phosphorylated at multiple sites, including Ser15, following DNA damage.
