CD62L is a 76-kDa member of the selectin family that is expressed by neutrophils, monocytes, and subsets of T, B, and NK cells. This cell surface receptor binds glycosylated, fucosylated, sulfated, and sialylated glycoproteins including CD34, GlyCAM-1, and MadCAM-1. These interactions mediate lymphocyte rolling on activated endothelium at sites of inflammation and homing to high endothelial venules of peripheral lymphoid tissues.
