The mouse LAIR-1 molecule is expressed primarily on monocytes/macrophages and also on T cells, NK cells and dendritic cells. Unlike human B cells , mouse B cells do not express LAIR-1. The cytoplasmic tail of mouse LAIR-1 can be phosphorylated leading to the recruitment of SH2-containing tyrosine phosphatase(SHP)-2 and C-terminal Src kinase.
