TNFRII is expressed in a variety of cell types and strongly expressed on stimulated T and B lymphocytes. TNFRII is the main TNF receptor found on circulating T cells and is the major mediator of autoregulatory apoptosis in CD8+ cells. The soluble TNF receptors are truncated forms of cell surface receptors with neutralizing activity on both TNF-α and TNF-β.
